Playing for Farnham Cricket Club

Playing for Farnham Cricket Club

Jonathan Matthews28 Mar 2020 - 17:16

FCC provides an inclusive, friendly environment coupled with competitive and development opportunities for youth, senior, male and female cricketers

Farnham Cricket Club strives to provide an inclusive and friendly environment whilst also offering competitive cricket and the best possible development opportunities for both youth and senior cricketers.

Whilst nothing makes us happier as a Club than watching an enthusiastic eight year old progress through the age groups at Farnham Cricket Club and eventually establishing himself as a 1st XI player in the Surrey Championship, we also strive to offer senior players at all levels the standard of cricket they want to play and the coaching and development programs required to continually improve.

Senior Men's Cricket

The club currently runs 3 Saturday men’s sides. The 1st, 2nd and Academy (3rd) XI all play cricket in the Travelbag Surrey Championship, with the 1st XI playing in Div 2, the 2nd XI playing in the Division 1 and the Academy XI playing in Div 3 West.

The Surrey Championship usually starts the 2nd Saturday in May and runs to the 1st Saturday in September.

The senior sides also train twice a week, undertake winter training, pre-season friendlies and a number of Sunday fixtures.

If you are interested in becoming a senior member, please contact the Club Secretary. Alternatively, sign up directly through this website using the attached instructions.

Junior Cricket

The Junior section at Farnham CC runs teams from aged U8 through to U16. Teams are entered annually into either the Two Counties League or the West Surrey League.

Club training takes place on Friday evenings from 6.00 at the Farnham CC ground which is situated at the top of Castle Street, next to the castle and Farnham Park.

Winter nets take place during February and March.

We do accept girls at the club and our aim is to have an U13 girls team in the future and any girls joining this season will train and play matches with the boys. Note – Leagues rules allow girls to play in an age group 2 years younger than their age.

If you have a child interested in joining our junior section, please contact our junior registration officer. Alternatively, sign up directly through this website using the attached instructions.

Women's Softball Cricket

From 2021, FCC will be running a Women's Softball Cricket team. If you are interested, please contact Alex Turton. Alternatively, sign up directly through this website using the attached instructions. All abilities welcome.
