Managing Children Away from the Club (no overnight stay)

The Team Manager/ Coach has clear roles and responsibilities. Such responsibilities should include for them to:

Establish and communicate the following information to Parent(s):

When the match will take place – date, times including time of departure and estimated time of return
Where the match is to – destination, venue
Meeting points – at the home and/or the away venue as appropriate
Staffing arrangements – Name and contact details for the Team Manager responsible for the match
Kit / equipment requirements

These additionally include:

Ensure they have a written copy of the relevant emergency contact details and any medical information with them during the away trip, for all children who are taking part in the trip for whom they have a duty of care,
The Team Manager/ Coach will have a basic first aid kit
Parents will ensure that they register with the Team Manager/ Coach on arrival and that they will not leave the venue without informing the Team Manager/ Coach.
Parents will ensure that they inform the Team Manager/ Coach when leaving at the end of the match
Undertake risk assessments of venues and facilities
Follow ECB supervision guidance for cricket activities involving children
Have an agreed transport policy in place at the Club
Ensure that the team has agreed to act within the appropriate ECB and/or Club Code of Conducts
