Farnham Youth Cricket goes from strength to strength

Our youth section continues to grow from strength to strength and we currently have over 100 boys playing in U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, and U13 cricket, but we have space for more.

Youth Cricket train every Friday evening between 27th April until the end of July between 6:15pm to 7:45pm at the main Farnham CC ground at Folly Hill, where enthusiastic parents assist 6 qualified ECB level 2 coaches in high-quality training.

There is a bar for parents and a BBQ serving food.

Junior and colts matches

Next season we will plan to run the following teams 1x U8, 1 x U9, 1 x U10, 2 x U11, 1 x U12, and 3 x U13. Each team will either be entered into the Two Counties, West Surrey or Hampshire Youth Leagues and knock out competitions.

  • U8, U9 and U10 matches will normally be on Saturdays from early May until Aug
  • U11, U12 and U13  matches will normally be on Sundays from early May until August

We will be playing home fixtures at Castle Ground at Folly Hill, Wrecclesham Recreation Ground, Weydon School Sports Park, Hale Green and at Crondall CC this season – venues will be confirmed for each fixture.

Farnham Cricket Club has a friendly and inclusive youth team for the U12s. The boys are drawn from Farnham and surrounding villages and most attend the local schools. The squad is coached by three qualified ECB level two coaches with additional support from older boys who are undertaking their coaching qualifications. Training takes place at Farnham Park on Friday evenings during the Spring and Summer and the youth team plays in a local cricket league with matches on Sundays. The club aims to keep many boys involved in cricket into their young adult years and provides the opportunity for development to the Farnham senior teams.

The club is always looking for new youth team members so if you are interested please contact U13 Managers
